Senior Family Reunification Attorney
The Senior Family Reunification Attorney will supervise the Family Reunification Department of A New Way of Life Reentry Project (ANWOL), which helps reunite formerly incarcerated parents with their children by providing direct representation in California’s family courts and probate courts, as well as providing “support person” advocacy in dependency court proceedings and support letters or advocacy at criminal court hearings for parents with outstanding charges. In addition, the Attorney may contribute to civil rights impact litigation, family reunification local, state, and federal policy work, and family reunification legal clinics planned to occur in prisons in Los Angeles County.
Project Coordinator
A New Way of Life and Local Initiatives Support Corporation are seeking a full-time AmeriCorps member to serve as a Project Coordinator. We are recruiting a full-time AmeriCorps member to be a part of our team for 10 months. The position will remain open until filled. The exact start and end date of the contract position is confirmed by the Member Agreement of Participation that will require signature prior to the start of service. This is an AmeriCorps position and the individual selected to serve is not considered to be an employee of A New Way of Life or LISC.
Human Resources Manager
This onsite Human Resources Manager oversees personnel and the operations of the department, serving as a strategic partner to the Executive team. The Human Resources Manager will serve as the link between management and staff, assisting in maintaining a Championship culture within the organization that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, and high performance. The Human Resources Manager will develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall organization’s vision and mission.
Employment Case Manager
The Employment Case manager is responsible for providing workforce development orientation services to incarcerated women in Los Angeles County jails. In your role you will collaborate with the Director of Workforce Development and Education and the Employment Developer/Case Manager assisting formerly and currently incarcerated women with employment, education, readiness support, resume building, interview preparation and multidimensional solutions. The Employment Case Manager will guide new participants from a strengths-based, gender responsive participant--focused orientation in both pre and post release environments. The Employment Case Manager will work with the Director of workforce Development and Education, the Center for Employment Opportunities (CEO), WDACS, LASD, and other outside agencies to identify and train incarcerated and formerly incarcerated women in obtaining living wage employment and/or entrepreneurial opportunities. Additionally, this position collaborates with CEO and other community partners to assist in maintaining best practices of trauma-informed services in application of methods with gender as an engagement perspective.
Housing Coordinator
The Housing Coordinator is responsible for the proper administration and oversight of A New Way of Life Reentry Project’s safe house model.
